To make an appointment please contact the office on 0416 089 330 or through the email address listed. The standard appointment sessions are 50-55 minutes.  Currently the session fee held ‘in office’ is $170. There is approximately an $85 gap amount per session after Medicare Rebate. This fee is payable by the individual.

Current fees charged are lower than the recommended fee set by the Australian Psychological
Society (APS).

Fees are payable by cash or credit card/EFTPOS facilities.

Do I need a Referral to visit a Psychologist?

You do not need a referral to see a Psychologist. If you wish to receive Medicare funded sessions you will need to visit your GP or other medical specialists such as a Psychiatrist or Paediatrician to be issued a Mental Health Care plan (see Medicare Rebates).

What is a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP)?

Medicare now provides rebates for psychological services, under certain conditions.  If you think you may be eligible for the Medicare rebates (see below), you would need to see your GP for them to confirm your eligibility.  If you are not eligible for rebates from Medicare, then you can still claim rebates from your private health fund provided you are covered for the appropriate extras cover.

A GP Mental Health Care Plan involves the GP making an assessment, identifying needs, setting and agreeing management goals, identifying any action to be taken you, selecting appropriate treatment options and arrangements for ongoing management, and documenting this in the plan.

Eligible clients can generally receive a maximum of 10 individual sessions per calendar year, with a review by the referring doctor required after the initial 6 sessions. Please be aware that I have to provide a written report to your referring doctor following the first 6 services and/or on completion of the course of treatment.
